Southern tradition, reinterpreted through rich natural materials and quietly sophisticated details.
HISTORIC IN HUNTINGTON HEIGHTS
SOUTH OF BROAD BATHROOM
Inspired by the architectural traditions of the South, this Jack-and-Jill bath pairs classic detailing with a rich, restrained material palette.
Custom-stained walnut cabinetry with inset construction brings warmth and permanence to the room while providing the generous storage our clients needed. Milky ivory tile keeps the foundation soft and quiet, allowing aged brass plumbing and hardware to stand out against the cooler brown tones of the walnut. A dramatically veined natural quartzite countertop provides the counterpoint—introducing movement and just enough personality to the otherwise serene palette.
The transformation went beyond finishes. By removing an existing wall, we were able to open the room considerably, improve its flow, and create opportunities for even more cabinetry and storage.
What was once a builder-grade Jack-and-Jill bath now feels considered, substantial, and comfortably rooted in tradition.
